Wearable and garment-integrated technologies have the ability to communicate through a wider bandwidth in more modalities than stationary or single-point display technologies. Our work looks at the intersection between modalities -- for what contexts and types of information are which modalities most useful? How can multiple modalities be used in concert to provide a denser information exchange? How can non-traditional modalities like tactile display change the way a user experiences and understands information?
